  • ART-Rageous!

    For girls and boys in grades K-2

    Explore all the basics of drawing, painting, sculpting, experimenting, and more. Your artist portfolio and pride will be bursting at the seams! Space is limited.
  • ACT Prep for April Test

    For girls and boys in grades 9-12; 9-10 grade students MUST have completed Algebra II. 

    date/time: Monday-Friday, March 27-31; 3:40-5:40 pm
    instructor: ACT Prep Instructor
    Cost: Science/Math M-W Only: $300
    English/Reading TH-F Only: $250
    Full Week/All Subjects: $400
    This class takes a deep dive into what it takes to succeed on the ACT. Participants will examine the tendencies of the ACT and learn general and content-specific strategies. Students will also gain valuable experience by working through problems from actual ACT tests.
  • How Does Your Garden Grow?

    For girls in grades K-2

    Spend time outside learning the basics of vegetables, fruit, and flower gardening. What zone do we live in? Where should we plant? How much do we water? Paint and plant a flower pot, make garden markers, build a recycled garden on our new and improved farm and greenhouse, and taste some of the yummy fruits of our labor in this action-packed class.

    INTRAMURAL SPORTS
    For Hutchison girls in grades K-4
    Hutchison offers an intramural program for Hutchison girls in basketball (K-4), soccer (K-3), lacrosse (3-4) and volleyball (1-3) to provide our girls with opportunities to explore athletics. The main goal of our intramural league is to promote growth and enhance skill development. Because of our commitment to foster growth throughout the program, girls are invited to participate regardless of skill level or experience.

  • Middle School Dance Company

    For girls and boys in grades 5-8

    instructor: Louisa Koeppel (Hutchison dance teacher) and Katy Stanfield (dancer and dance instructor)
    cost: $750


    Middle School Dance Company focuses on modern dance and creative ballet with an emphasis on dance-making and ensemble performance.

    Students will choreograph and perform in the dance concert on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00 pm and the school matinee on Wednesday, April 5.

  • NEW! 'How to be Lovely' Children's Etiquette

    for girls in PK and JK
    date/time: Thursdays, January 19-April 6 (no class 2/2, 3/16)
    instructor: Miss Emily Cantrell (Bloom Studios)
    cost: $200
    Young ladies are taught polite manners and graceful decorum through tea party and princess play based activities.
  • NEW! How To Be Lovely: Etiquette Class

    For 3-4 grade girls
    date/time: Thursdays, January 19-April 6 (no class 2/2 or 3/16); 3:30-4:30 PM

    Young ladies will learn to navigate society with grace, poise, and style in this unique class offering. How to be Lovely Etiquette is an all encompassing curriculum for the modern girl with a focus on elegant deportment and gracious traditions.
  • Pointe/Pre-Pointe

    For girls and boys in Middle School Dance Company and Core Ballet
    School-year length course
     
    date/time: Thursdays, 5:15-6:00 pm
    September 15-December 15 (no class 10/6, 11/24) and January 12-April 5 (no class 3/16)
    instructor: Katy Stanfield (dancer and dance instructor)
    cost: $400
    This class takes the dancer to the next level of strength, possibility, and commitment. Students must be taking MSDC and Core Ballet to attend. Leotard or form fitting top with black leggings or form fitting yoga pants, ballet skirt, with pink or skin-toned ballet shoes.

  • Private Music Lessons

    For girls and boys in grades K-12

    Private lessons for 30 or 45 minutes in one or more instruments offered. All skill levels. 

    An email will go out to everyone once school starts with more information, as well as, dates and times available for lessons.

    Space is limited.
  • Quiz Bowl

    For girls in grades 5-8

    Do you enjoy academic trivia? Have a broad range of knowledge? Buzz in and answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more. Quiz Bowl is a team competition, and this session is limited to ten girls. The goal for this class is to practice weekly and, eventually, to compete against other schools in a NAQT-sanctioned tournament. Space is limited.
  • Soccer Shots PK

    Soccer Shots utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. Each class will highlight positive character traits such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation.

    instructor: Midtown Taekwondo
    cost: $400
    Involve yourself in martial arts to learn discipline and skills that will help you in school and beyond. In the final class, students will test for stripes and belts. No uniform is required; however, you may wear your own uniform or purchase one through Midtown Taekwondo.
  • Time to Tinker and Code

    For girls in grades 1-4

    Spend some time with Mrs. Stover and Ms. Wesson expanding your computer science skills. Girls will gain more experience coding with unplugged and plugged activities. The activities will promote understanding of important universal coding concepts that can be applied to different applications. This class will also give girls opportunities to tinker with Tinkercad developing 3-D print designs. Girls can 3-D print bag tags, game pieces, and more. Join the fun of computer science!
