Portrait Drawing with Ms. Leake

Whether you are just learning or are more advanced, improve your drawing skills. Move at your own pace and level of experience. The goal will be to understand the main principles of drawing the anatomy of the face as well as capturing a likeness.
ACT Prep for April Test
For girls and boys in grades 9-12; 9-10 grade students MUST have completed Algebra II.

This class takes a deep dive into what it takes to succeed on the ACT. Participants will examine the tendencies of the ACT and learn general and content-specific strategies. Students will also gain valuable experience by working through problems from actual ACT tests.
Ballet 3
For girls and boys in grade 3 School-year length course date/time: Tuesdays, 3:10-4:00 pm & Wednesdays, 2:30-3:30 pm September 7-November 16 (no class 10/4, 10/5) & January 10- April 5 (no class 2/14, 3/14, 3/15)
Students in Ballet 3 continue to gain strength, agility, grace, and comradery in their dance and dance-making. Plain pink or black leotard with or without a skirt, pink or skin-toned ballet tights or black leggings, and pink or skin-toned ballet shoes are required.
Ballet students will perform in the dance concert on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00 pm and the school matinee on Wednesday, April 5.

INTRAMURAL SPORTS For Hutchison girls in grades K-4 Hutchison offers an intramural program for Hutchison girls in basketball (K-4), soccer (K-3), lacrosse (3-4) and volleyball (1-3) to provide our girls with opportunities to explore athletics. The main goal of our intramural league is to promote growth and enhance skill development. Explore acting techniques and musical theater skills through the lens of beloved fairytales. Students will learn about costume design, develop stage presence and self confidence, and get a chance to perform their masterpiece.

The Quickstart Academy will use the teaching method of Quickstart tennis, a program aimed at helping kids in kindergarten, first, and second grade, learn the game of tennis. Using a smaller court, net, racquet, and larger foam tennis balls, the Quickstart method makes the game of tennis easily accessible to younger players.
**Each student will need to bring their own tennis racquet for this class.
Upper School Dance Company

US Company members will choreograph and present dance pieces throughout the school year and perform in the dance concert on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00 pm and the school matinee on Wednesday, April 5.
