Quiz Bowl

Do you enjoy academic trivia? Have a broad range of knowledge? Buzz in and answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more. Quiz Bowl is a team competition, and this session is limited to ten girls. The goal for this class is to practice weekly and, eventually, to compete against other schools in a NAQT-sanctioned tournament. Space is limited.
Core Ballet

This class is designed for anyone in grades 7-12 who wants to improve ballet skills for strength, flexibility, accuracy, and artistry. This class will count for US Crain Hours and is required for Pre-Pointe. Leotard or form fitting top with black leggings or form fitting yoga pants, ballet skirt, with pink or skin-toned ballet shoes.
Destination Imagination (DI)
For girls and boys in grades 3-12
date/time: September - May as scheduled, Tournament dates TBD
instructor: Amanda Killen (DI TN Board Member & team manager) & Various Team Managers
cost: $300, plus tournament travel expenses
Build your creativity, design thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills on grade level teams. Teams solve one of six open-ended, STEAM-based challenges to present at tournaments. Teams will meet two afternoons per week and/or on Saturday mornings. Teams will present challenge solutions at the regional and state levels and commit to attending Global Finals if they advance from the state tournament. Middle School Dance Company

Middle School Dance Company focuses on modern dance and creative ballet with an emphasis on dance-making and ensemble performance.
Students will choreograph and perform in the dance concert on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00 pm and the school matinee on Wednesday, April 5.

Craft works of art that are beautiful and practical. Hand-build projects from clay or mosaics. Fast-paced and fun, these sessions can be taken as a whole or individually.

Calling all singers! This new class will help students explore techniques for breath support, vocal placement, and tone, and learn tips for dynamic solo singing performances. The class will be set up in studio style, with each child performing a solo every 2-3 weeks and receiving feedback from the instructor and classmates, as we learn how to listen and evaluate musical performances!
