X-STEAM Girl Pop-Ups is a summer intensive where campers engage in hands-on learning to build a brand, products, and pop-up designs through the curriculum using the design-thinking model. Additionally, girls will receive advice from leaders in the field to assist in completing their costumes. Girls will walk away with their very own custom-designed and hand-made costume that reflects their art and cultural expression - inspired by 80s pop art fashion. At the end of the experience, campers will host a fun and interactive fashion show of their designs artistically handcrafted by them. At frisbee golf camp, whoever has the most fun wins. Over the week, campers will learn the fundamentals of disc golf: rules of play, how to throw, and creative course design. Robby Uhrman, the camp director, has helped design courses in the Memphis area and competed in disc golf tournaments throughout the Southeast. Each camper will receive two discs they will take home: a putter and a midrange disc. Using an official regulation disc golf basket, campers will practice putting early on, and by the end of the week, campers will design on course of play and compete against one another.
