Explore all the basics of drawing, painting, sculpting, and experimenting with different artistic processes. Let's be creative and have some fun!

This clinic is an all-around skill training program that includes all facets of the game in preparation for the upcoming season.

Ballet 1 will reinforce and expand the ballet experience through classical technique, creativity, and dance-making. A plain pink or black leotard with or without a skirt and pink or skin-toned ballet shoes are required.

The fall session of Ballet will conclude with a performance of The Nutcracker on Thursday, December 10, and rehearsal will tentatively be on Wednesday, December 9, for 1st-grade dancers.

Every Monday brings a brand-new theme to explore! The girls will dive into a story, create a hands-on craft, and play games! All tied together by that week's mystery theme. From gardens to galaxies, puzzles to pirates, no two Mondays are ever the same. 

Creating a podcast. Learn the basics of editing, writing, producing, and directing episodes. The final project would be to complete a podcast-style short story on a topic we’ve engaged with throughout the afterschool sessions.

Soccer Shots utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. Each class will highlight positive character traits such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation.

Join us for imagination, movement, and hands-on fun! Each class, campers will explore a new story through music, crafts, games, and creative activities inspired by exciting themes like camping, dinosaurs, pirates, and ocean adventures. This engaging class encourages creativity, early literacy, and social skills while making every day a new adventure!

Transform simple materials into a stunning piece of home décor! In this hands-on art class, students will learn the art of papier-mâché as they design and build an elegant swan centerpiece that doubles as a planter or decorative vessel. Throughout the session, participants will shape, layer, paint, and personalize their swan while exploring sculpting techniques, texture, and finishing details. The completed project is perfect for displaying fresh or faux greenery, flowers, or seasonal decorations and makes a beautiful handmade centerpiece to enjoy for years to come.

Hutchison Lower School cheerleading combines elements of dance, gymnastics, and stunts. It focuses on teamwork, coordination, and spirit, helping build confidence and develop athletic skills.

The Quickstart Academy will use the teaching method of Quickstart tennis, a program aimed at helping kids in kindergarten and first grade learn the game of tennis. Using a smaller court, net, racquet, and larger foam tennis balls, the Quickstart method makes the game of tennis easily accessible to younger players.

**Each student will need to bring their own junior tennis racquet for this class.

In this art class, young creative minds embark on an exciting journey of self-expression and exploration through various art mediums. Students engage in hands-on activities that include painting, drawing, collage-making, and sculpting, utilizing different materials like crayons, watercolors, Model Magic, and recycled items. The class encourages students to express their imagination while developing fine motor skills, color recognition, and teamwork. With a focus on fun and discovery, each class is designed to inspire creativity and instill a love for arts in a nurturing environment.

Junior Kindergarten students will discover how exciting science can be through hands-on, age-appropriate experiments and playful exploration. Each week, young scientists will mix, observe, predict, and create as they investigate colorful chemical reactions, fizzy concoctions, bubbles, simple engineering challenges, and other fun STEM activities. This class encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking while helping children build confidence in asking questions and making discoveries.

Cheer and Tumbling class is designed to introduce young children to the fundamentals of cheerleading and basic gymnastics in a fun and engaging environment. In this class, JK girls will learn essential skills such as coordination, balance, and strength through age-appropriate tumbling exercises, jumping techniques, and cheer routines. With a focus on teamwork, creativity, and self-confidence, the program encourages social interaction and helps develop listening skills while fostering a love for movement and fitness.

Girls concept and design real characters, create a plot to solve a problem (or “save the day”), write the full storyline, and finally, edit and publish. They will learn the ins and outs of how book publishing works and the importance of teamwork and telling stories through their shared voices. The finished product will be “one” comic book designed together, and will each receive a professionally printed copy!
