Step into the enchanting world of Fairy Land, where fairies, forest creatures, sparkling gardens, and mystical pathways await! In this art adventure, young artists will explore multimedia collage, sculpting with Model Magic®, magical printmaking, and whimsical fiber-arts weaving & stitching — all while imagining and creating their own fairy-scenes, fairy-homes, and fairy-friends.
Ballet 3
For girls in grade 3
Date/Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 13-March 24 (no class on 3/10) from 3:00-4:00 PM

Students in Ballet 3 continue to gain strength, agility, grace, and camaraderie in their dance and dance-making. Plain pink or black leotard with or without a skirt, pink or skin-toned ballet tights or black leggings, and pink or skin-toned ballet shoes are required.

The fall session of Ballet will conclude with a performance on March 24, and rehearsals will tentatively be on March 23 for 3rd-grade dancers.

Learn vocal techniques for performances. This class gives students a strong foundation for the proper use of their vocal talent and the basics of choral singing.

Cheer and Tumbling class is designed to introduce young children to the fundamentals of cheerleading and basic gymnastics in a fun and engaging environment. In this class, JK girls will learn essential skills such as coordination, balance, and strength through age-appropriate tumbling exercises, jumping techniques, and cheer routines. With a focus on teamwork, creativity, and self-confidence, the program encourages social interaction and helps develop listening skills while fostering a love for movement and fitness.

Cozy Creations: Chunky Blanket Workshop

For girls in grades 2-6

Learn to make your own soft, chunky black blanket! This class is a fun, gentle introduction to the cozy world of crochet. Students will choose their preferred method:
- Option A: Finger Power! Use only your hands and fingers to create big, easy loops (no hook needed!). This is a great starting point for developing fine motor skills and is the fastest way to see results!
- Option B: Hook Helper! Use a large plastic crochet hook to guide the yarn, learning the basic chain and single crochet stitches.
You'll leave with the start of a chunky blanket and the skills to keep creating!

For Hutchison girls in grades 3-5
Practices Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 8 - February 26 (no practice 1/22) from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Nuber YMCA
Registration Deadline: Friday, December 5
*Suits Turned In To Office by December 12
Meets: Thursdays, January 29 and February 26

*Swimmers will need to purchase swimsuits using the options sent by the coaches. Once purchased, please deliver to the CFE office in the Abston Early Childhood building by December 12th so that we can have the Hutchison logo added before the first practice.

Swimmers will practice twice weekly at the Ric Nuber YMCA and participate in two swim meets. Swimmers must be “deep water safe” and be able to get across one length of the pool in any way. They will play fun games, learn the four competitive swim team strokes, practice relays, starts, and turns!
