  • 'How to be Lovely' Children's Etiquette

    For girls in JK
    Date/Time: Mondays, January 6-March 31 (no classes on 1/20, 2/17, 3/10) from 2:30-3:15 pm 
    Instructor: Miss Emily Cantrell (Bloom Studios)
    Cost: $300
    Young ladies will love this children’s etiquette class with Emily Cantrell of Bloom Studios. Learn the art of conducting yourself with grace, all while having plenty of fun too! We will build on etiquette knowledge from last semester so whether this is your first class or you are joining for another semester this class is for you!
  • ACT and SAT Prep

    For girls and boys in grades 10-12
    Date/Time: Monday-Friday, March 17-21; 3:40-5:40 PM
    Instructor: ACT/SAT Prep Instructor
    Cost: Science/Math M-W Only: $325
    English/Reading TH-F Only: $250
    Full Week/All Subjects: $475
    This class takes a deep dive into what it takes to succeed on both the ACT and SAT. Participants will examine the tendencies of the tests and learn general and content-specific strategies. Students will also gain valuable experience by working through problems from actual tests.

  • Bee-Jeweled By Me

    for girls in grades K-2

    Cost: $300
    Create one of kind works of art in this special jewelry design class with Bloom Studios. Explore famous eras such as Belle Epoque, Art Deco, and beyond with crystals, pearls, and up-cycled vintage collections at your fingertips. Classes conclude with an exhibition of your very own Jewelry line!
  • Book Character Club

    for girls in grades K-2
    Date/Time: Mondays, January 6-March 31 (no classes on 1/20, 2/17, 3/10) from 3:15-4:15 PM
    Instructors: Alex Bunkley and Shannon Manzi
    Cost: $250
    Each week students will explore a new book character like Ada Twist Scientist, Pinkalicious, Molly Lou Melon, and characters from Jory John books. We'll enjoy some popular stories and explore new characters that may become a new favorite! Together we will read our book of the week, discuss what the character has to teach us, and participate in a hands-on activity to go along with each one!
  • Crazy Creature Theater Class

    For girls in grades 2-4
    Date/Time: Monday, January 6-March 31 (no classes on 1/20, 2/17, 3/10) 3:15-4:15 pm
    Instructor: Julia Hinson (children's theater instructor and director)
    Cost: $275
    In the Crazy Creature Class, students will design and build masks inspired by creatures they create themselves. They’ll develop characters, learn performance techniques, and bring their imaginative creatures to life in a fun final performance! Space is limited.
  • Enchanting LEGO Adventures

    for girls in grades 1-4
    Date/Time: Monday, January 6-March 17 (no classes on 1/20, 2/17, 3/10) (8 sessions) from 3:15-4:15 PM

    Step into the enchanting realm of Harry Potter!
    Perfect for young witches and wizards, this immersive experience invites students to unleash their creativity by building iconic LEGO sets inspired by the beloved series. From the majestic Hogwarts Castle to the bustling Diagon Alley, participants will construct their
    favorite locations while diving deep into the magic of storytelling. But the magic doesn’t stop at building!
    Participants will collaborate on group projects, engage in friendly challenges, and even create their own unique LEGO scenes inspired by their favorite moments from the series. Grab your wand—your adventure awaits!
  • Hutchison Swim Team - CFE

    For Hutchison girls in grades 3-5
    Date/Time:

    Mondays and Wednesdays January 8 - February 27 (no practice 1/20, 2/197) (13 practices) from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Nuber YMCA
    Suits Turned In To Office by December 9 
    Meets: Thursday, January 30 and February 27
    Coaches: Cheryl Parker and Bryan Parker (Swim Coaches)
    Cost: $425*
    REGISTRATION CLOSES DECEMBER 4
    *Swimmers will need to purchase swimsuits using the options sent by the coaches. Once purchased please deliver to the CFE office in the Abston Early Childhood building by December 9th so that we can have the Hutchison logo added before the first practice. 

    Swimmers will practice twice weekly at the Ric Nuber YMCA and participate in two swim meets. Makeup days will be on Thursdays as needed. Swimmers must be “deep water safe” and be able to get across one length of the pool in any way. They will play fun games, and learn the four competitive swim team strokes, practice relays, starts, and turns!
  • Lacrosse League

    for Hutchison girls in 3-4 grade
    Date/Time: Mondays and Fridays, March 3-April 25 (no practice 3/7, 3/10, 3/14, 4/18, 4/21) from 3:15-4:30 PM
    Games: Saturdays, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12, 4/26 (subject to change)

  • Nutcracker Ballet Workshop

    For girls in grades K-4
    Date/Time: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, December 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, and 12 from 3:15-4:45 PM
    Performance: Thursday, December 12 at 3:45 PM

  • PK Pre-Ballet - Monday

    for girls in PK
    Date/Time: Monday, January 6-March 31 (no classes on 1/20, 2/17, 3/10) from 2:30-3:00 PM
    Instructor: Louisa Koeppel (Hutchison Dance Teacher)
    Cost: $200
    Pre-ballet offers a gentle introduction to the tradition of ballet by reinforcing basics and vocabulary through creative activities and imagination. Space is limited.
  • Private Music Lessons

    For girls and boys in grades K-12
    Private lessons for 30 or 45 minutes in piano, violin, viola, voice, or harp are offered—all skill levels. Students who took lessons in the fall have priority for the spring semester. If you are interested in your child starting lessons please contact afterschool@hutchisonschool.org to learn of the open lesson spots.
    *You must have access to the instrument you are taking lessons for to practice outside of your lesson.

  • Safe Sitter Babysitting Class

    For girls in grades 5-8
    Dates/Time: Mondays, January 13-February 10 (no class on 1/20) from 3:15-5:15 PM
    Instructor: Lisa Curry (RRT, BBA, owner of 901 Vital Training LLC)
    Cost: $225, includes all supplies
    Safe Sitter Babysitter classes are designed to prepare students to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The classes are filled with fun games and role-playing exercises that teach skills for safety, child care, first aid, rescue, life, and business. Adding the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR certification (adult, child, and infant) makes this the complete babysitter training for your student!
  • Soccer Shots

    For girls in PK and JK

    Instructor: Soccer Shots Coaches
    Cost: $225
    Soccer Shots utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. Each class will highlight positive character traits such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation.

    Hutchison Athletics offers a sports clinic program for Hutchison girls through the Center for Excellence to provide our girls with opportunities to explore athletics. The main goal of our sports clinics is to promote growth and enhance skill development. Because of our commitment to fostering growth throughout the program, girls are invited to participate regardless of skill level or experience.
