Baking Club

Cozy Creations: Chunky Blanket Workshop
For girls in grades 2-6 Date/Time: Thursdays, April 16, 23, 30, and May 7 from 3:15-4:15 pm Instructor: Alyssa Villareal Cost: $130
Learn to make your own soft, chunky black blanket! This class is a fun, gentle introduction to the cozy world of crochet. Students will choose their preferred method:
Option A: Finger Power! Use only your hands and fingers to create big, easy loops (no hook needed!). This is a great starting point for developing fine motor skills and is the fastest way to see results!
Option B: Hook Helper! Use a large plastic crochet hook to guide the yarn, learning the basic chain and single crochet stitches.
You'll leave with the start of a chunky blanket and the skills to keep creating!
Drawing and Painting
For Hutchison girls in grades 4-6 Date/Time: Tuesdays, January 13-March 24 (no class on 3/10) from 3:15-4:15 pm Instructor: Martha Berge (lower school art teacher) Cost: $270
Jump into a world where drawing, sketching, and painting each become an adventure! In this class, students in grades 4-6 explore the fundamentals of drawing, experiment with sketching, and dive into different painting media — all through multiple fun and imaginative projects. They’ll build skills and self-confidence while making art they’ll be proud of.
Hutchison Swim Team - CFE
For Hutchison girls in grades 3-5 Practices Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 8 - February 26 (no practice 1/22) from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Nuber YMCA Registration Deadline: Friday, December 5 *Suits Turned In To Office by December 12 Meets: Thursdays, January 29 and February 26 Coaches: Cheryl Parker (Swim Coaches) Cost: $425* REGISTRATION CLOSES DECEMBER 5 Cancellations after this deadline will incur a $25 cancellation fee *Swimmers will need to purchase swimsuits using the options sent by the coaches. Once purchased, please deliver to the CFE office in the Abston Early Childhood building by December 12th so that we can have the Hutchison logo added before the first practice.
Swimmers will practice twice weekly at the Ric Nuber YMCA and participate in two swim meets. Swimmers must be “deep water safe” and be able to get across one length of the pool in any way. They will play fun games, learn the four competitive swim team strokes, practice relays, starts, and turns!
Middle School & Upper School Dance Company

Middle School Dance Company focuses on modern dance and creative ballet with an emphasis on dance-making and ensemble performance.

In this creative theatre class, students will imagine a hidden doorway on Hutchison’s campus that leads to Season Song- a magical land where spring, summer, fall, and winter live side by side. Together, they’ll invent unique characters, write their own story, and bring the world of Season Song to life through acting, movement, and collaboration. The class concludes with a performance sharing their original adventure!
