Swimmers will practice twice weekly at the Ric Nuber YMCA and participate in two swim meets. Swimmers must be “deep water safe” and be able to get across one length of the pool in any way. They will play fun games, learn the four competitive swim team strokes, practice relays, starts, and turns!

Unleash your creativity and turn a simple sheet of paper into incredible works of art! In this fun and engaging hands-on course, students will discover the traditional art of Japanese paper folding (Origami). Each week features new themed creations—from leaping frogs and fluttering butterflies to geometric 3D shapes, modular structures, and decorative keepsakes.

Safe Sitter Babysitting Class

For girls in grades 5-8

This class is to prepare students to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. CPR instructor Lisa Curry leads the class from 901 Vital Training LLC. It is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use mannequins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR!

During the afternoon CPR certification session, students can earn their American Red Cross CPR certification after completing CPR skills training.

Students should bring a lunch, drink, doll, and baby blanket. Class will be from 9 AM to 4 PM with a lunch break.
